Suspect hospitalized after officer-involved shooting in Lake County

A deputy with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office shot a suspect early Thursday morning in Minneola during a response to a reported vehicle burglary.According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a report of a person burglarizing a car near Cumberland Circle. The suspect ran away from the scene before being shot.The suspect was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Law enforcement officials said the suspect faces multiple criminal charges in connection with the incident.
